Trout.

Whenever I can, I do enjoy a fillet of Trout. I find Trout more delicate than Salmon but like Salmon and probabably because it is the same family of Fish, a Trout will go swimming in the sea as well as up rivers. It is mainly for delivering their offspring that they go in rivers.

From my French background I must confess that I do like Almond Trout or 'La Truite aux Amandes'. It is simply delicious.

However I do not get to have Trout very much, so once in a while I have it, because my Man don't like Fish very much apart if it is Cod. (British through and through, they even did have a war about Cod...).

Anyhow I found a way to make him eat any Fish and it feels a bit like feeding a five year old, it is to cover it with either Breadcrumbs or Batter. I do not have to make the Fish look like Fish Fingers (Thank God), but at least it has to be without bones, head and fins.

Panéed Trout Fillet with minted Broad Beans and buttered Baby New Potatoes. This was a winner on the plate. One thing I would change would be just to peal the Broad Beans. It does take time but it is worth it at the end of the day.

The pink flesh of the Trout is not too strong and highly enjoyable and like Salmon contains Omega 3. Hence it is healthy however you do need to check if the river or the part of the sea where your Salmon or Trout is caught is near an industry which is allowed to reject its pollution reject into the river nearby or the sea... Trump and Johnson allowed pollution to occur again by law to fill the pockets of industrialists and to the detriment of the environment they don't care about prefering corruption and money against the health of anyone.

Apart from that Trout and Salmon are generally healthy Fish to eat. One little treat I used to enjoy is to make Trout Fish Cake. It was liked by my Man as well. The process works by just flaking the Trout first.

Flaking partly smoked Trout Fillets and seasoning them prior to making them into Fish Cakes.

It is very easy to do. But you must add the seasoning you do like while preparing your Fish Cake. Dill went in mines. As well as Sea salt, and crushed black Peppercorn. A dash of Lemon Juice doesn't go amiss as well.
